Andrea Etkie, M.A., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida. Andrea has practiced as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school, hospital, home health, and skilled nursing settings, serving children and adults with complex communication needs.
Andrea believes everyone deserves a voice and through dedicated therapy, she breaks down the barriers of communication through AAC training and communication partner training. Her positive and creative personality allows her to connect with her clients to build trusting relationships. She is dedicated to building a collaborative relationship with her clients, their families, and other professionals on the team (physicians, teachers, caregivers, etc.).
Andrea specializes in working with children and adults experiencing communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing challenges resulting from Cerebral Palsy, ALS, Rett Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, stroke, brain injuries, or other progressive neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.
In her free time, Andrea can be found spending time outside soaking up the Florida sun and doing early-morning workouts. From new recipes to quilts, Andrea is always creating.
